Forest Education Programs
Forest Experiences for Today’s Youth
Connect your students to a dynamic forest that holds many stories, lessons and opportunities for exploration and discovery. The Oregon Department of Forestry offers a full spectrum of forest field trips at the Tillamook Forest Center and surrounding Tillamook State Forest. The facility and its exhibits, coupled with experienced guides and the scenic Oregon Coast Range forest, offer unique, meaningful and enriching learning experiences.
Guided education programs are fun, free and completely accessible to all pre-school through twelfth-grade students. All programs meet specific benchmarks of the Oregon Department of Education’s learning standards. They emphasize interactive and interdisciplinary learning through age-appropriate, hands-on activities, nature walks and discussion. Both guided and self-guided program options are available year round and require registration. Our high quality programs fill quickly. Reservations should be made at least one month prior to your visit.
