Are you looking for something fun to do in the forest? Join the Tillamook Forest Center staff for a variety of fascinating, forest-related programs. From Dutch oven cooking presentations to wildflower walks we’ve got something for everyone.

Most events are FREE and open to ALL AGES.

Mixed Media Woven Fish Workshop | $35

In this workshop you will create a colorful fish while exploring weaving and mixed media sculpture techniques. You will learn the basics of hand weaving and construct a three dimensional loom out of wood and wire. Fibers, metal and other materials will be used to weave the body of the fish. You will finish your creation by making fins and a tail out of complementary materials. We will discuss tools and techniques for working with wood, metal, fiber and materials gathered from nature. You will learn how to combine different materials together to create interesting and fun mixed media designs. There will be a wide variety of colors and materials to choose from. Class fee includes all supplies to create one fish. Additional supplies will be available for purchase to take home.

This workshop is for ages 12 – adult, space is limited and includes all materials.
